1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Haleji's Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) platform powered by Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Rainbow Hub. This policy is designed to protect our network, maintain service quality for all users, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. Permitted Use
Haleji services are provided for lawful business communications purposes. Permitted uses include:
- Business telephony and voice communications
- Video conferencing and collaboration
- Team messaging and file sharing
- Integration with business applications and CRM systems
- Customer service and support communications
- Internal business operations and administration
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited when using Haleji services:
3.1 Illegal Activities
- Any activity that violates Canadian federal, provincial, or local laws
- Fraud, identity theft, or phishing schemes
- Distribution of illegal content or materials
- Money laundering or terrorist financing
3.2 Abuse and Harassment
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation of any person
- Hate speech or discriminatory communications
- Stalking or unwanted solicitation
- Distribution of defamatory or libelous content
3.3 Spam and Unsolicited Communications
- Mass unsolicited commercial communications (spam)
- Robocalling or auto-dialing without proper consent
- Telemarketing in violation of do-not-call regulations
- Chain letters or pyramid schemes
3.4 Network Abuse
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Denial of service attacks or network flooding
- Port scanning or network vulnerability testing without authorization
- Distribution of malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Circumventing security measures or authentication systems
3.5 Service Abuse
- Reselling or redistributing services without authorization
- Excessive use that degrades service quality for other users
- Using services for cryptocurrency mining or similar resource-intensive activities
- Sharing account credentials with unauthorized third parties
4. Fair Use and Resource Limits
While Haleji offers generous usage allowances, we maintain fair use policies to ensure service quality for all customers:
- Simultaneous call limits are based on your purchased SIP trunk capacity
- Storage limits apply as specified in your service tier
- Excessive usage that impacts system performance may be subject to review
- We reserve the right to implement rate limiting for abnormal usage patterns
5. Privacy and Data Protection
You must respect the privacy rights of others when using our services:
- Obtain proper consent before recording calls or meetings
- Comply with applicable privacy laws including PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act)
- Protect confidential and personal information transmitted through our services
- Do not collect or store personal data without lawful basis
6. Intellectual Property
You must respect intellectual property rights:
- Do not share copyrighted materials without proper authorization
- Respect trademark rights in communications
- Do not impersonate other organizations or individuals
7. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
Customers must comply with all applicable telecommunications regulations:
- Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) regulations
- Emergency services (911/E911) requirements
- Lawful access and interception obligations
- Number portability regulations
- Anti-spam legislation (CASL - Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation)
8. Monitoring and Enforcement
Haleji reserves the right to:
- Monitor network traffic and usage patterns to ensure compliance with this AUP
- Investigate complaints or suspected violations
- Access account information when required by law or to protect our services
- Cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory authorities
9. Violations and Consequences
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations may receive a warning notice
- Service Suspension: Temporary suspension of services pending investigation
- Service Termination: Permanent termination of services for serious or repeated violations
- Legal Action: Referral to law enforcement or pursuit of civil remedies
- Financial Liability: You may be held responsible for damages or costs resulting from violations

If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, please report them immediately to:

11. Changes to This Policy

Continued use of services after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
